Biography

Leonard Loh is a Director in the Litigation, Arbitration and Dispute Resolution Practice Group at Selvam LLC. With broad and deep expertise spanning commercial, employment and family disputes, Leonard consistently demonstrates exceptional skill and leadership in managing complex, high-stakes cases both locally and internationally.

His practice encompasses contentious commercial disputes involving financial products, boardroom and shareholder conflicts, and family business disputes. He has effectively represented clients across all levels of the Singapore judiciary, as well as in international and domestic arbitration, mediation, neutral evaluation, and adjudication proceedings

He has particular experience in employment and workplace disputes, advising and representing clients on senior executive exits, employee misconduct investigations, whistleblowing issues, retrenchment exercises, restraint of trade matters, workplace harassment, and disputes relating to employee entitlements and termination. He regularly acts for and advises multinational corporations, financial institutions and regional businesses on contentious and strategic employment matters, including formal legal proceedings and mediation.

Leonard also maintains an active family and matrimonial disputes practice, acting in matters involving divorce, guardianship, relocation, maintenance, personal protection orders, adoption, and estate administration, including disputes with cross-border and foreign law elements. His collaborative approach with foreign counsel, child representatives, and governmental agencies enables him to navigate complex multi-jurisdictional matters effectively.

He is a Full Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), and a member of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (MSIArb). With the Law Society of Singapore, he is the Co-Vice Chairperson of the Probate Practice Committee, and the General Secretary of the Middle Category Committee and the Foreign Bar Liaison - Middle East Chapter. He is also a member of the Community Legal Clinics Committee of Pro Bono SG, and a member of the Young Practitioners Network Committee for the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators.

Leonard graduated with Second Class Honours (Upper) from the National University of Singapore in 2014 and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2015. He was also placed on the Director’s List during his exchange at the Centre for Transnational Legal Studies in London in 2013. Leonard is fluent in English and Mandarin, enabling him to serve a diverse clientele effectively. Leonard was also recognised as a Future Star in Family and Matrimonial by Benchmark Litigation 2025 and 2026.
